sigh. hols have ended.
weren't really much of holidays anyway.
F1st Weekend
Just normal.
BB, normal stuff.
OM - Did our first round of real shopping at art friend (was too late for this one) and Dover.
Church-ed.
Still, I always see that person. I try to avoid that soul.
she shouldn't stay in my mind.
Cell-ed on Sunday. I seriously hate it when Jon Choy and the rest say I 'act cute'. It was okay for a while but now its getting quite pissing. They use it practically everytime I talk.
Can't remember much~
Monday-
Stupid SANA Course today. Hasn't even ended yet. Wah, like, the first part was damn boring ah. Now must get my family and friends to do some FOTA quiz. Otherwise won't get the badge. All the instructors there were seemingly un enthusiastic except for one main Indian Instructor. Sometimes you'd seriously wonder whether they do it for the joy, or the money?
Tuesday-
My only completely free day. Spent the morning and a bit of the afternoon surfing internet, msn-ing, youtube-ing. Then finished most of my work the rest of the day.
Wednesday-
Hokkay.
So today, let's see. Was supposed to take a tour to plmgss, because that's where the frontline ministries will be working soon, when youth service moves there.
[~Wonder if plmgss if further or nearer to home? Anyhow, both are about two bustops away, can just take a ride.~]
Anyhow, after that, went for an OM meeting. Sorted out tentative roles, went through the skit, made a song? Ooh yeah...song. Must get it done by tomorrow!
Went home and went to pack my bag for the following day's prefect camp. mum got pissed with me cos i was watching "Monster House" at 11.38pm when all my stuff were still laid out on the bed. Cos I was also doing homework in between the packing here and there.
Thursday - Friday
Prefect camp.
Wasn't a very fun one. Alright, let's adress each aspect of the camp now.
Cheering
Cheering sessions were of course, tekan. or pain. They would knock you down, kill you, toss you around like a doll. Oh yeah, and the soul of my voice was stolen in the first hour of the cheering session.
I think the past council did a better job in leading the sessions. You see, they took a nicer approach, and an approach that didn't just knocked us down everytime we did wrong.
The current council justs liked to be harsh, which I don't think works well. Using this method, it really demoralises the people under the harsh tone. I know that the current council has good intentions, but like Martin Luther King Jr. said, "The end doesn't justify the means." Which just goes to show, that even if they want the best out of our cheering, they shouldn't use this method, as it just puts down the AC spirit in us, it makes us feel pressured to cheer, not inspired to cheer, which is what we really should be feeling. inspiration. Needless to say, the method the current council used wasn't as effective as the one the past council used. So to add on to Martin Luther King Jr.'s theory, the 'means' were not only unjustified but were also ineffective.
A better approach would be the past council's method, as they really encouraged us with their smiles, with their exemplary cheering, and a bit of humour every now and then. Also, they refrained from knocking us down everytime we did a mistake, and told us nicely how to improve. I strongly encourage this method, and believe that if this was used throughout the camp, the effects would have been at least twice better.
So if any current councillor is reading this, consider yeah?
Games
The only games in this camp was night games, and the amazing race.
Night games was how Councillor Peter died, so we had to interrogate the other councillors cos Mr Bongard thinks one of the councillors killed Peter. It was quite pissing, cos it seemed like my group liked to be slow and take a slow walk, sit here and there, resulting in us losing out on interviewing Rene, Henry, and Pei Yi. And these three were the most important (of course, we didn't know it back then or we would have interrogated them first), as they were the most suspected in the end.
The case - Pei Yi was the murderer, and stabbed Peter with his pencil because he caught Peter stealing from the Board's treasurery.
We won amazing race, and through it, I realised that Joshua Wu is damn ON about games, Vivo City's top floor is nice and wet, and Henry thinks Hanya is not hot.
um...ok.
~Lol.
Workshops
These were alright I guess.
I think the most beneficial was S.W.A.P, as it lets us analyse the Prefectorial Board.
One of the most intriguing ones was Henry's talk about Public Speaking. I could certainly learn a thing or two from there for my Dr Lee Suan Yew (LSY) Speaker of the Year Award Competition.
end camp
Yepp, basically, I realise the thing I hate most about prefects were the camp. I love prefects out of camp.
I dread them in camps.
Weekend
Alright, Saturday, missed BB cos I had soar throat. Missed OM cause I wanted to stay home and do homework. Nishad said I wouldn't be a loss anyway, cos they were doing shopping.
Main highlight - Going to Poofe (Pool +Cafe).
It's the name of the mini-cafe my 20 yr old+ couzin set up in the area of the pool in his condominium.
Pasta's not bad, hot dog overflowing with onions and whatsnuts, I had to eat it slowly, and still dropped onion bits all over the place. Milkshakes are about the best, really nice. I had a strawberry one.
Swam there, UWC people were there as well, being as crazy as ever. (in a good way)
Saw a cat, rather friendly. It had a collar, don't know what happened to the owner.
Churched. Sermon was not very applicable, but was really funny. pastor B's ok!
Sunday
The best was today. Missed cell cos i had to really finish my work this time.
i-Play!
My group was called deCrux Marines. We lost overall, even to D-squad. People said the umpires pitied their team. We were actually better than them, but they won us by bonus points!? Like wth?
It was still quite fun ah. Even though, we weren't in the semi-finals, we were used as substitutes for other teams, like D-squad.
I liked my team generally, pity VC had to leave halfway for some make-up lesson.
the HELLO you was like, super crazy lah! They trashed everyone, either by skill or by the 'each girl that scores gets a bonus 1 point' rule.
Frankly, everyone thought it was unfair that there were 8 guests in that group, somemore they were all so skilled and got 2X the points! a lot of people were also pissed with a certain someone from that group that day, cos they thought she was attitudin' them and cursing and all.
but guys, that person didn't mean to hurt anyone lah. it's all a big misunderstanding.
so please forgive her yeah?
In conclusion, i-Play was real fun, made a few new friends like VC, and Brenda. Even though we lost, knowing that we tried our best and that it was fun is good enough. Just hope that among the other teams that were pissed with each other, relationships that were strained get mended.
Yep, that's this new post, and please don't mind any typos. Try your best to infer the typo-ed word.
~it's back to school. sigh.

Chinese New Year
that time of the year comes again. and again.
i'm just gonna randomly say some poem now, so here goes.
Toss around the yu sang, longevity they say.
Why do they not put chinese new year in may?
Why febuary? mummy says its the lunar calendar.
Why so many dates? just stick to one and remember.
If chinese new year is now, what happened to the one in January?
Why does this weird and festive one pop up in the middle of Febuary?
Fire crackers, a monster? Or to scare the nian away, mummy calls it.
Is it big, does it gobble little children, does it come out of my closet?
Dong dong qiang! Dong dong qiang! Its the lion dance!
Stretch, hand, let me touch, gimme a chance!
My mother watches at the side, 'don't go near!' she cries.
The chaotic drum beat, the lion stops, the loud sound dies.
Reunion dinner, I still remember, the strange dream scene.
Yu sang, steamboat, beef and chicken, my eyes just gleam.
Delightful! I'd cry, Mum, some steamboat soup please.
Then all the action at the table [freeze the time] would cease.
My father bursts out, shouting screaming, scary human monster.
Tears to my eyes, my face is burning, I didn't understand his anger.
Fire sparkles crackling in his eyes, my heart racing against his fire.
I don't understand, why's he angry? Cos I didn't say 'please' to mother?
Then his intimidating figure breaks down, he cries and weeps right there.
I cry, 'Father, father! I'm sorry, really, I'll say ten pleases!' I couldn't bear
His great big hulk and muscle, hopelessly sobbing, weeping, he looks to me and says,
"John, dear Son, I loved mummy, so do you, but she's gone to another phase."
I did not understand, but I did not question why.
Mummy was sitting there, but I saw her cry.
Then someone appeared, out of nowhere it seemed, someone with holes in his hands.
A white robe around him, an aura of power, he seemed to calm the lands.
And after that, mummy disappeared, and I was frantic. WHERE?!
A lost joey, where is mummy? She disappeared somewhere!
I knelt beside my father, had he known her future back then?
I couldn't think, my world is spinning, where's mum, who was that man?
Lol, oh my son I can't believe i just randomly did some weird poem. don't think its good though. And it's not me, I was just making up some silly random story. ARGH, I'm becoming like gracelynn!!
ahh anyway. so chinese new year's here.
my dad's siblings came to my house for reunion dinner, and so did my grandpa. it was rather tasty i guess. ate three bowls of rice. yeah, the bowls are small ok!? then after dinner we talked, I just found out that my soft-spoken cousin Jamie is head prefect of CHIJ [Our Lady Of Good Councel] Or was it Nativity? Ahh, should be one of them. Thing is I'd never expect it! She must be proded or somethin!
Oh yeah, and it was sooo funny how my 20 year old cousin, Michelle, was trying to teach my sis how to draw 3D words! My sis draw 3D words like dunno what like that! My sis is only good in 2d art. haha! She was kinda hopeless at 3D. Haiyah, she should have taken art as a subject. I'm considering to do so in my next 5 years.
ahh well yeaap. I dont wanna go for visiting!! Not to all the old people's places at least, that's quite boring. All the youths maybe quite fun lah, heard somethin bout a tennis racket. whee.
alright, will keep y'all updated. in the meantime, hopefully i can make a qualitative chinese project for our malacca OEP.

Inferior.
ahh. life in school.
it really makes me think. Does God bless every person equally? maybe not.
elliot.
Skilled in swimming is unmatched.
Diploma in violin.
Artist in the making.
IB intellect.
And michael?
Well, I thought since my studies suck so bad, I should have been blessed in maybe one area, lets say arts.
Of course, michael got 100 which burned past my 97 for last year in art.
and wha'd ya know, he gets highest in class for higher chinese for term one this year, compared to a measly 54 of mine.
it was all on the wrong foot. why do i always start out bad?
first it was basketball in primary school. a match with the points 4 - 201 doesn't really speak much of our school. a heck lot, in the wrong terms that is.
then secondary school. hawkey. right. and to think i thought it would be a lot better than basketball. i obviously have a knack for starting wrong.
there had to be something. i thought there was something in for me in the arts, whether acting singing or visual.
singing? maybe last time, now? my voice is going away like a bottomless hourglass, and when its shed its old skin, what if its new skin has no shine at all? and if it fails, what about plmc vocalist team? i hope she isn't right.
acting? haha, nothing compared to van or anyone else for that matter.
and arts? last year was 97, this year so many people burning the heat up faster.
i feel like a speck of dust on the gold coin, the one who was not polished properly.
why? surely, just surely, the vision God gave my aunty Angie was real.
there has to be something, but for now...
inferiority takes place.

Update on life. 2/2
What to do now...blog loh. heh.
Hmm, the past few days have been quite ok, I guess.
School work's been piling up, like crazy, and the whole class is getting downright pissed :D Ok, totally ironic emoticon.
And I was just discussing with Martin, at the same time spontaneously classifying schoolwork into 4 categories.
1.Paper work (Work done on paper. Normally math.)
2.Computer work (Work done on the computer. Normally essays.)
3.Book work (Work done on (I bet your guess is right). Normally chinese.)
4.Projects (Big work done over period of time. Normally anything.)
And we've got at least a few of each! You know how stressful it is!? Especially with...
-Chamber-
It's been ok. We're meeting every Wednesday, 3.30-5.30pm, in the band room. We've already been given the two pieces that we're supposed to play for SYF. Bolero and Tolero, pieces composed by Bizet for the opera Carmen. Tolero is a very well-known piece, I bet everyone knows it. Luckily Chamber is not so stressful (only once a week)...for now... As SYF draws closer we gonna prepare a lot.
-BB-
Wa lau, this BB ah, go and organise Adventure Awards Elective for us NOW eh! At this time of the month, when all the exams so near!! No time to kayak for 9 hours lah! Some more I in IB! Luckily, tomorrow would be the last kayaking session. Then, things should be better after I get Kayaking Star 1. Archery and rock-climbing won't be so long.
-OM-
Hsssss~~~.....BOOM! Odyssey! Yes, Odyssey of the Mind. The same routine, OK, then exciting, then explosive, then drawback symptoms. So for now we're at stage 1. I'm gonna hate stage 4. God, please don't let me go through stage 4 again. So now we're basically cooking the (hopefully) ultimate story for our problem.
-Prefects-
Not so many H.R duties as normal lah, which is good. Normal fall-ins, morning duty of ringing the bell, "Good morning teachers and students, please proceed to the parade grounds for morning assembly now."
Collected my ceremonials! (julian doesn't like the shortform, cerems) My blazer is a bit big though. Well, saves my pocket's injury! XD Prefects Investiture soon! 5th Febuary and 9th Febuary! Finally gonna get the cool tie!
-Church Worship Ministry-
Not much lah. In fact, we don't have to go down to Church on Friday nights as...(Oh crap, am I supposed to go down tonight!? If that's the case I'm already an hour late..XP Hopefully not tonight!) Oh heng, I just called Dwight and he said its not. But the roster said it was! Hmm..strange. Oh well, anyway, as I was saying, we don't have to go down to Church on Firday nights as often as last time, now its been reduced twice.
Oh well, so thats about it. School, post-school activities, homework, sleep late. Thats the weekday life.
Wake up, BB, OM, Church. Next day, cell, chiong homework, sleep late. That's the Weekend life.
Boring eh?
Keep me updated and tagg!
Ooh yeah, and dont miend thie typoes!

Phuket
Hey guys.
Well, Phuket was good. Did activities like scuba-dive,and. Oh crap, its been so long I can't really remember. Of course we shopped and swam and went to the beach and made new friends...hmm, oh yeah we also went to some school to give 'em gifts. So cute some of the boys there. Two of them were like, little hunters, silently signalling and talking, eyeing the chicken, then they will try and corner the chicken and once one of the boys dived for the chicks! So cute I tell you! Oh yeah, also bought christmas presents for Bunny, Hanya and Hon there, got everyone a bracelet (all different lah, not the same).
Gave the children at school the gifts
The hotel - Dusit Laguna

Church camp (11-14th)
Ok, my earlier post I was working on got deleted!! So I'll try to type it out again.
11th
Russ (my bro) and I got to church with our bags. Our whole cell is in different groups except Ray and I in Leonardo. Got to know Ray and Eunice a bit more, cos I never really talk to them. Kota's resort's a nice natural, well, resort right outside the rainforest.
In games it was really crazy cos we kept going back and forth between the first two stations. Schedules were kinda screwed cos of the rain, but everything turned out ok. Sermon was rather basic.
Next two days were kinda fun, with Jon Choy leading 5BX, a lotta worship, workshops, and games. Meanwhile, little random things happened, like Tessa kept attracting lizards, Hannah forged her reputation on her scream, special afternoon had the craziest auction, I was voted most gentlemanly boy (I didn't even do anything!) and um, Dwight found utter delight in following the bird's cry of "Wiaow wiaow!"
Yeah, there was one special afternoon where we isolated ourselves for a while to talk to God, and God told me to treat my bros with more love. Mmhmm so thats what I'm gonna do. Oh and the last sermon was really good, about BHS. Baptism with Holy Spirit. But I didnt get slain like Joycee and Amanda. So sad!
Ok, gtg do work, update you on more stuff soon yeah?
(Pls dunt mindd tha typpos.)

mingle
I've been kinda busy lately, so yeah...here I'm gonna update all of you.
A few days ago went to stay over at my friend, Nishad's house, play soccer, eat dinner, play xbox, watch scary things on youtube and winterrowd. (You really wanna watch? Go to youtube and search "ghostly car ad". Don't blame me if you die of horror. You can also go to www.winterrowd.com and see their presentation on optical illusions if you're still not scared enough...). Yeah, School friends meet church friends in the voice conference this time, my schol friends crazy to come and kill my church friends. Oh yeah, when I was sleeping my friends played a prank on me and smeared cream on my face. Next time I'll show you the pic.
The next day, we ate a delicious breakfast of Puri and Dahl. I'm not sure how you spell it, but anyway, after that we went to play soccer at a field we were not supposed to play soccer at. Then it started to drizzle. We hung in the house for a while, then went to wild wild wet. Uber fun! Had a later lunch.
But then it doesn't end there! I go to Jeremy Hon's house and play Halo 2 on his xbox. Of course I wasn't going to stay over. He had 90+ kills, I had 29 and his cousin around 0. Kinda wide ranges. I gotta get used to that game.
Hmm, thoughts/ "realisations"? Yeah, quite a few, mostly about Church friends. I'm trying to link and find out how Hon got so shunned by his friends, and I'm sure there's some misunderstanding somewhere. Also a lot of "realisations" about a specific someone, but I better not say here. Hmm, I also realise that the daily voice conferences are a lot less sian when there's only Hon, Hanya and I. Strange huh? Hope we start our own band! Rock on!
Pls don't mind any typos. Thats all.

Thats all.
